Associate Professor in Psychiatry and Medical Education
Consultant Psychiatrist

I trained locally at Brighton and Sussex Medical School and did my postgraduate training in Sussex, becoming a General Adult Psychiatrist with a specialism in Addictions Psychiatry. My interest in autism led to a Consultant Psychiatrist role in the East Sussex Neurodevelopmental Service. I am trained in the Autism Diagnositic Inventory (ADI-R) and am currently finishing the Royal College of Psychiatrists Enhanced Autism Training Course.
When I took up my academic role as an Assocaite Professor Brighton and Sussex Medical School I needed to leave the service to make space for the new role. Since that time I had been looking to move back into the area and so started up Laine Clinic with my colleagues.

My experiences with my two neurodiverse children and the fantastic and thorough assessments they received in the private sector were the inspiration for starting this clinic.
