Our Fees
​The Laine Clinic is a small and specialist service and assessments are expensive. We operate a policy of screening all potential clients in advance to ensure that we are the service that will best meet their needs.

Please note that as a small clinic with limited slots we operate an advance payment policy and require full payment one week in advance of your appointment.

Our fees vary depending on what you need from our service and how long the assessment will take. We can tailor your assessment to your needs if what is below is not covered - please contact us to discuss.

Autism Assessment - £1,995
We will take a full developmental, physical and mental health history from you and a family member or other informant. This will be conducted by a Consultant Psychiatrist and Specialist Nurse.

A full assessment itself takes around three hours and is conducted in person at Flint Healthcare in Woodingdean, Brighton. If you prefer a shorter appointment we can gather information over the phone in advance.

A full diagnostic report will be prepared and sent to you and your General Practitioner.
​
All our reports will include detailed information about local services that support people with neurodiveristy and additional resources that you may find helpful.
Autism and ADHD Assessment - £2,195
We will undertake both assessments at the same time. The ADHD assessment will be covered by a Consultant Psychiatrist and if you are diagnosed and interested in treatment we will provide advice and guidance on this.

If you wish to pursue treatment with medication your diagnosis will allow you to access this through the Right to Choose pathway, or if you prefer to have treatment privately we will provide recommendations and any referral letter required.

The diagnostic report will cover both autism and ADHD and assess suitability for treatment with medication.

Autism and Mental Health Assessment with Advice and Guidance - £2,195
Mental health condiitons commonly occur alongside autism. We offera full mental health review which includes a diagnostic review, review of previous treatment and treatment planning with advice and guidance.
Reviews are undertaken as part of the autism assessment with information gathering in advance as needed. Mental health reviews are done by Dr James Fallon a researcher and lecturer on medication use in mental health conditions. A tailored proposed management plan will be created with you and this advice and guidance will be shared with your General Practitioner and your mental health team if you are under one.

Where appropriate we can make onward referral or recommendations to a private specialist or provide guidance for your GP as to referrals within the NHS.

Autism Assessment with Reasonable Adjustment Guidance - £2,195
People with autism should be able to thrive in education and work. To allow this reasonable adjustments can help. If you have faced challenges at school, university or the workplace then we can provide detailed recommendations craftted alongside you. Dr James Fallon is an experienced educator who has supported many students to graduation at medical through reasonable adjustments and clinically has worked with Occupational Health departments and employers to create the right working environment for people to thrive.

In our reports we can provide recommendations on potential reasonable adjustments for work or education. This is not a guarantee that these will be offered but we have found that this can be helpful in creating a supportive working or learning environment.
